Raw bee propolis is a kind of colloidal opaque solid with aromatic smell, which is made from the resin collected by bees from plant spores or tree trunks and mixed with the secretions of palatal gland and wax gland. It has a special aromatic smell. The color of it varies with geography and plant origin. Generally they are brown or dark green, only few are red or dark black.

Raw propolis chunks contains a lot of flavonoids and polyphenols, and more than 300 effective chemical components, which have been isolated. It has a wide range of biological and pharmacological functions. Anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory, oral health care, wound healing and so on. It is widely used in medicine, cosmetics, health products, daily chemical products, aquaculture and poultry breeding.

Note

There are a lot of impurities in the organic raw propolis, so it is not edible.
